Job Overview :
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Grade 2 Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that inspires a love for mathematics in young learners. As a Grade 2 Math Teacher, you will play a crucial role in building foundational math skills, using both traditional and innovative teaching strategies to ensure every student's success.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans for Grade [#] students in line with the district's math curriculum and standards.
- Teach key math concepts such as addition, subtraction, basic multiplication, number sense, shapes, measurement, and problem-solving.
- Use a variety of instructional methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and support students at varying levels of proficiency.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet individual needs.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel confident in exploring mathematical concepts.
- Provide targeted support for students struggling with math concepts through small group instruction and additional resources.
- Integrate technology tools and resources to enhance instruction and engage students in interactive, hands-on learning experiences (e.g., interactive whiteboards, educational software, apps, etc.).
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math instruction and technology integration.
