The Electrical Assistant Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting our project management team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Duties & Scope:
- Closely support senior project management team members
- Develop and deliver high-quality projects that meet customer expectations and scope requirements
- Develop and support project management techniques, schedules, and procurement plans
- Evaluate and improve internal systems and processes to meet customer requirements and profitability goals
- Ensure schedule requirements are met and adjust priorities as needed
- Interact with customers to validate expectations and provide close support to third-party construction firms and subcontractors
- Manage project review process with an emphasis on financial forecasting
- Ensure high-quality engineering, studies, and project delivery
- Communicate challenges, risks, and successes proactively and systematically
- Oversight of monthly invoicing process and negotiation of change orders
- Coordination with Site Superintendents to understand installation methods, labor needs, and manpower forecasts
- Support adherence to Quality Control process and ensure timely completion of downstream tasks
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of Project Engineer experience in electrical construction industry
- Understanding of engineering in electric power
- Field experiences coordinating with construction management
- Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts
- Able to develop relationships and assist in winning projects
- Able to run a profitable portfolio
- BSEE or Construction Management degree preferred; Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus
