Job Title: State Certified Journeyman Electrician
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled electrician to join our production-driven team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical installations and troubleshooting in commercial settings.
Duties & Scope:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems.
- Prepare work areas for equipment installation.
- Install electrical components.
- Connect wiring and equipment according to code and job specifications.
- Operate equipment only if trained and certified to do so.
- Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems.
- Read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances according to drawings or plans.
- Secure and lock up equipment after use.
- Hold State Journeyman Electrician Certification where required or highly desirable.
- Possess a proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
- Have excellent working knowledge of Building Codes.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
- Work in various environmental conditions depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
- Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves) and respirator when required.
- Perform 8-10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime and night shifts.
- Ability to perform essential job functions including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling objects.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- Primary physical work constitutes more than 70% of the job.
