We are currently taking applications / resumes for an EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operator for the Franklin, LA area. Duties / Responsibilities may / may not be limited to the following :
Heavy equipment operators control specialized machines used in construction, maintenance and operations. They may run excavators,Forklifts and industrial trucks. While working with others, they often use hand signals or radios to coordinate movements.
Position Requirements :MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.MUST be able to pass physicalMUST be able to pass DISA drug screenMUST be able to pass background checkMUST be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, & gloves)MUST have reliable transportationRequired Skills :MUST have experience with operating an GRADALL EXCAVATOR, (1 year minimum preferred)
Knowledge of reading blueprints can be helpfulExceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Good verbal and written communicationAbility to use good judgement and act independentlyJob Duties / Responsibilities :Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuseInspection of the machinery before and after to ensure that it is in good working condition. If upon inspection, some defects or issues are found, the operator will report them so that they can be addressed appropriately.Perform daily checks on equipment
Rendering regular repairs and maintenance as needed.Reporting more serious defects for repair by an authorized service provider.Mange housekeeping activities when requested.Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activitiesCleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMeet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standardsReport safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediatelyPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
Ability to sit or stand for long periodsHandle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basisAbility to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.Excellent physical strength & staminaAbility to work outdoors in harsh weather conditionsAbility to work in varying hot and cold environments
Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockDocuments Required :Driver's License / Identification Card

Weekly PayPay Schedule : Monday - SundaySchedule :Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
