Description
We are now accepting resumes / applications for Spill Response Techs in the Lake Charles, LA and surrounding areas . We are looking for a highly motivated and independent person to train procedures and policies.
Responsibilities :
Respond promptly to emergency spill incidents involving hazardous materials or contaminants.
Assess the situation quickly and implement appropriate spill response strategies to minimize environmental impact.
Utilize various equipment and techniques for spill containment, recovery, and cleanup.
Coordinate with emergency services and other relevant authorities as required.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on spill incidents, response measures, and transformer maintenance activities.
Job Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
40 Hour HAZWOPER Required
Proven experience in spill response, environmental services, or transformer maintenance.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards related to hazardous materials and electrical equipment.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical condition and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work in various conditions, including adverse weather and potentially hazardous environments.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different sites as required.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Safety and Compliance :
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear during spill response and transformer management tasks.
Maintain accurate records of spill incidents, transformer maintenance, and compliance activities.
