Boat Detailer

Hell’s Bay Boatworks is looking for a dependable, person to fill the position of Boat Detailer.

The right candidate will meet all requirements and have the following abilities and be able to perform the following duties with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 21 years of age or older

- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record

-Pass pre-employment drug screening

Experience working with and cleaning marine vessels is preferred

Abilities:

- Work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals

- Work in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment

- Understand and follow verbal and written instruction

- Proper use of detailing equipment and cleaning materials/chemicals

- Work well with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect and understanding

- Work an 8 hour shift bending, stooping, leaning, kneeling, reaching

- Work outdoors in various weather conditions when safe to do so

- Flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals

- Excellent time management: Planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating and setting and meeting goals set by self or upper management.

- Use of a forklift and other necessary equipment

- Strong attention to detail

Duties:

- Maintain, clean and dry all Production boats on the lot, cleaning weekly or as assigned per managers and working schedule

- Wash exterior of boats and trailers using appropriate cleaning agents

- Clean boat interior including but not limited to: cockpit, bilge, lockers, hatches, consoles, etc.

- Prepare boats for customer pick up outdoors or on showroom floor

- Use of pressure washers, vacuums and other specialized equipment

- Inspect all boats for any damage and maintenance needs and report to management.

- Wash rags and towels as needed to ensure proper quantity is available at all times.

- Maintain detailer department (outdoors and indoors)

- Maintain boat cleaning supplies and equipment and keep in good working order

We are looking for individuals that take pride in their own work and the appearance of our customer’s Boats.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
