YOUR TASKS
Setting up, testing, maintaining, and operating automated machinery and processes.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with automation systems and equipment.
Creating detailed automation plans and discussing them with the supervising manager or project lead, including showcasing potential automation opportunities.
Working with robotics, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, ensuring their correct usage and functionality.
Designing and modifying automated systems and robotic devices used in industries or factories.
Engaging in continuous learning about automation technician procedures, tools, and industry best practices.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand and perform the necessary actions on automated machinery and equipment.
Assisting engineering and other teams in the designing and development of automation equipment.
Determining the need for equipment repairs or replacements and making recommendations to superior officers.
Complying with safety regulations and procedures while handling automation machinery and technology.
Inspecting and testing machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are functioning as per operational parameters.
Presenting and explaining specifications, production targets, or scheduling changes to departmental heads and other key personnel.
Initiating and facilitating the purchase or acquisition of parts and supplies necessary for equipment, following company's procurement rules and regulations.
Undertaking preventive maintenance of automation systems and equipment.
Proactively identifying areas for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in automation, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interface (HMI), and SCADA systems.
Possession of relevant certification in PLC programming, robotic operation, or automation technology is a plus.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of safety protocols in a production setting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
Physical ability to lift heavy machinery and equipment, if necessary.
Proficiency in using various software including but not limited to MS Office, AutoCAD, and other design and simulation software.
Good understanding of project management principles with an ability to manage a project from inception to completion.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.Update qualifications
