Hellas., Inc headquartered in Austin, TX, is a nationwide specializing in sports facility construction. We manufacture, install & resurface artificial turfs & synthetic surfaces while completing the design from start to finish. Hellas, Inc. is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team and increase our national. Must be open to traveling 100% of the time.
Qualifications/Skills
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- MUST have experience in Dozer and Excavator (finish grade)
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal history background check and drug test.
- 2 year of operating equipment backhoe, loaders, excavators, mini excavators, dozers.
- Experience in construction trade
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loader, backhoe, dozer, excavator, dump truck, skid loader, man lift, and related equipment in support of sport construction projects.
- Assist other shop trades personnel with project-related duties, including asphalt repair, concrete construction and repair, masonry, welding, and interior demolition in support of facility renovations.
- Assist in shop operations. Clean, sharpen, and adjust tools. Maintain and properly secure shop, tools, equipment, and vehicles. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in shop and at job sites. Wear personal protective equipment as required for each task.
- Ensure all equipment operations are accomplished safely and in compliance with department and university safety procedures. Establish a safety cordon and utilize a safety spotter when required to protect other workers or campus personnel in the work area.
- Read, understand, and work from drawings, specifications, standards, or written/verbal instructions with or without direct supervision. Inspect completed work for compliance with construction documents, and regulatory building and safety codes.
- Accomplish basic shop paperwork and electronic documents, including records for materials used, daily labor report, and weekly time report.
