Quality Control Technician
Job Summary / Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring production standards are being met while interfacing with management and production operators to ensure all product meets and exceeds quality standards..

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safe and clean working environment
• Perform extrusion line test (checks) throughout shift
• Report test result to Managers and Supervisors
• Understand and apply quality standards
• Perform Color evaluations on products
• Record data on the control charts
• Inspect all finish goods
• Quarantine defected products
• Pack finish goods for shipping
• Inspect/record pallet information for loading trailers
• Help production operators start production lines
• Perform start up test
• Ensures general cleanliness of lab and inspection area
• Check computer settings on lines
• Verify all ovens are running at correct temperatures
• Locates defects and notifies supervisor of defects or machine malfunctions.
• Help with trails or special projects
• Help inventory cardboard or packing material
• Sign for deliveries

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Walking long distances
• Extreme heat

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Non-exempt
• 12 hour rotating shifts

Qualifications / Skills
Education and Experience:

• Manufacturing experience required
• Quality experience is preferred

Skills:

• Fine motor manipulation required.
• Ability to handle a pallet jack.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Ability to keep simple records and make reports.
• Ability to multitask
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Understands when matters need to be escalated.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and park of a team. Come with a good attitude, strong work ethic, and met attendance expectations.
• Attentive to safety concerns. Serve as a role model in following safe operating procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
