Hellas, the #1 Sports Construction company in North America , is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Asset Manager to assist a fast-paced construction company in Austin.

We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Asset Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our diverse fleet, which includes pickups, vans, sedans, and Class 8 trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience managing fleet compliance, driver qualification packets (DQ) in accordance with FMCSA regulations, and vehicle lifecycle management, ensuring our operations remain efficient, compliant, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities :

Fleet Management

Oversee licensing, registrations, renewals, and trip / overweight permits.
Manage toll billing systems, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with Enterprise Fleet to manage the vehicle lifecycle, including procurement, utilization, maintenance, and disposal.
Maintain and update the fleet database with vehicle additions, deletions, and driver changes, ensuring accuracy.

Driver Management

Facilitate driver onboarding, maintain precise records, and ensure compliance with DOT / FMCSA regulations.

Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and driver logs to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Manage GPS tracking systems and oversee driver compliance with company policies.

Regulatory Compliance

Stay current on FMCSA and DOT regulations, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Audit records to verify vehicles meet inspection and safety standards.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three direct reports, setting clear performance expectations and fostering professional development.

Qualifications and Skills :

Proven experience in fleet management and asset control (3-5 years minimum), including Class 8 trucks.

Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and Hours of Service requirements.

Experience in driver onboarding, record-keeping, and safety program management.

Proficiency in fleet management tools / software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

Strong negotiation and communication skills for collaborating with vendors, internal teams, and leadership.

Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and implement cost-saving strategies.

Bilingual (English / Spanish) ideal.
