Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet and welcome customers as they arrive.
• Provide menus and explain daily specials or promotions.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Order Management:
• Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Cash Handling:
• Process customer payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
• Issue receipts and manage the cash register, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
• Table Maintenance:
• Set up and clean tables before and after service, ensuring a pleasant dining environment.
• Refill drinks and provide additional items as requested by customers.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in training new staff members as needed.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and ensure compliance with restaurant policies.
• Problem Resolution:
• Address customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Escalate concerns to management when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on providing a positive dining experience for customers.
• Cash Handling Skills: Basic math skills and experience handling cash and processing payments.
• Multitasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with others and contribute to a positive work environment.

Working Conditions:

• Waiters/Cashiers typically work in restaurants, cafes, or other dining establishments.
• The role may require standing for long periods and working during peak hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $16.33 - $17.07 per hour
