Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will aggressively grow revenue by providing product-level expertise coupled with enhanced customer experience to drive product specification, inventory, and adoption. The position necessitates analytical thinking capabilities, to leverage data-driven arguments to make decisions as well as ability to understand, communicate, and meet customer needs.
Essential Functions:
Create demand for our products through joint calls with channel and specification at non-distribution accounts.
Identify key account targets and work closely with customer corporate and branch locations to communicate and extend the HellermannTyton value proposition
Key point of contact on sales opportunities within electrical accounts.
Promotion of our products for emerging and established markets.
Accelerate Product Acceptance within the Accounts
Support Channel through Joint Sales Calls, Counter Days, Lunch and Learn sessions, and other various means.
Develop Brand Awareness within the Accounts
Sharing knowledge and experience with the overall Electrical Team
Manage the Relationship between the Account and HellermannTyton
Communicate HellermannTyton value proposition.
Success in this role will require:
Ability to communicate features and benefits of products with both presentation and hands-on style.
Foster a team atmosphere and work effectively with multiple HellermannTyton personnel within the territory
Communicate effectively information derived within accounts.
Sharing insights from experience and training with the Electrical Team
High-level aptitude for engaging people at all different levels within a customer and corporate organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of QS9000 and TS16949 quality systems, and ISO14001 environmental system.
Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
Bachelor’s degree Required
Previous experience working with channel-preferred
Ability to travel 40% time.
Experience communicating and coordinating projects.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with CRM Software preferred.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record
