Job Summary
Under the direction of the Extrusion Manager, the Extrusion Technician is responsible for overseeing the running of extruders on the shift, setting the dies, completing documentation, and maintaining process parameters to ensure the manufacturing of quality products. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949 / ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Essential Functions
- Understand and follow all work instructions to set up, start, and put into production any and all extruded products.
- Ensure that all process parameters are maintained within the specification limits.
- Follow all instructions and direction set forth by the Extrusion Tech Lead.
- Assist in training Extrusion Operators on the shift.
- Understand and perform all aspects of tooling set ups, cleaning of tools, and storage of tools.
- Follow all instructions to maintain inventory control and cycle counts.
- Have good communication with the punch department.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Communicate all quality and / or process issues to Extrusion Manager, Extrusion Technician Lead, and other necessary support departments.
- Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949 / ISO14001 certifications by supporting : Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
