Senior Social Media Manager, Hello Sunshine

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Media Manager to work in a hands-on-role on social media platforms for a HS brand. You're always on the pulse of digital, social, and cultural trends for the Gen Z audience and can create content that incorporates those trends or learnings in an on-brand way. This person possesses strong creator and editing skills, with the capacity for socially native content as well; someone who is a constant source of innovation and creativity; and can stay on the pulse of what's relevant as well as what's happening in a competitive landscape for Gen Z, specifically. You're both a big ideas person and highly organized. You're eager to conceptualize new ideas, be nimble in execution, and you're able to brainstorm so that content stays fresh, exciting, and creative. Additionally, you listen closely to the audience to see what they're saying or asking for and can use data to tell a social story. This person will manage the day to day social channels, research influencers/ talent to be featured on the channel, oversee and handle community management across channels, create shot lists, ideate concepts, create content from existing assets, as well as be on the ground capturing social-first video, photo, and supporting content, as needed.

You'll ideate relevant partnerships and be the eyes and ears for the community. This role is perfect for a social media savvy manager and creator who has 3-5 years of experience overseeing content creation and communities for talent, entertainment groups, or lifestyle brands.

What You'll be Doing:

• Be part of the strategy conversation; oversee, create, and execute content creation and platform management for high level talent and high-profile social channels
• Create a cohesive voice and identity for the brand across social channels by way of original, curated, influencer content
• Work in partnership with data team for reporting
• Hands-on content creation: Use your video editing and content creation skills to produce elevated content with relevant apps and tools
• Editorial POV: Have on-camera experience where you're featured on a channel on behalf of a brand - speaking to a topic or as purely evergreen
• Community management and building across all social media channels. An innate understanding of social media trends, strategy, data, and conversations
• Understand data and audience sentiment to create content that shapes culture and drives reach and engagement
• Share trends and ongoings in the competitive landscape and why they're relevant for our brand
• Understand and serve as the voice of the channel/ brand to deliver an authentic, audience-centric content experience
• Responsible for growing the audience and building the editorial strategy that will attract new audiences and create reach, discoverability, and conversation
  
  
  

Requirements

• Strong content creation skills (photography, videography, editing, and writing)
• At least 5 years of experience creating content for a large publication, media company, lifestyle brand, personality, or entertainment brand
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and/or Premiere); CapCut; and Canva
• Enthusiastic and proactive attitude toward content creation. Highly motivated to learn and create; have a can-do attitude
• Experience maintaining and growing social audiences across multiple platforms
• A self-starter and creative thinker with astute attention to detail, you are proactive and able to work on tight deadlines
• Strong writer (creative, editorial, and ghostwriter for a brand or personality)
• Highly organized and able to use data to tell a story and direct strategy
• You're able to come up with big ideas, both one-off and campaign based
• Meticulous attention to detail and well-versed in managing multiple editorial and social calendars
• Strong knowledge of, or passion for social media, emerging platforms, pop-culture, and trends for Gen Z
• Experience with or willingness to be on-camera as an editor/ face for a channel

This position has an estimated base salary range between 85,000 - 95,000
