Job Summary:

McAllen Primary Care Clinic and McAllen Family Urgent Care are looking for a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) & Phlebotomist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves performing X-rays and diagnostic imaging while also drawing and processing lab specimens. We seek a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Radiology Duties (LMRT):

Perform X-rays and diagnostic imaging following safety protocols and physician orders.

Ensure proper patient positioning and high-quality imaging techniques.

Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with state radiation safety regulations.

Upload and store images in the electronic medical record (EHR/EMR) system.

Keep the radiology area clean and organized, following infection control procedures.

Phlebotomy Duties:

Draw blood samples from patients using proper venipuncture techniques.

Label and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.

Ensure patient safety and comfort during blood draws.

Manage and restock phlebotomy supplies, maintaining cleanliness and sterility.

Enter patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS).

Qualifications:

Valid LMRT certification from the Texas Medical Board (TMB).

Phlebotomy certification or verifiable experience in a clinical setting.

Knowledge of radiation safety and lab specimen handling.

Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems preferred.

Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in an urgent care setting.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
