Responsibilities

• Provide support and backup to the logistics team in vessel, rail, barge, and product management operations.
• Monitor and analyze market developments, including prices, supply, demand, and logistics trends.
• Develop an understanding of inland marine logistics (e.g., mile points of ports, fleets).
• Learn the fundamentals of inland rail logistics (e.g., Class 1 railroads, rail line switches, rail car maintenance).
• Assist in improving the automation and streamlining of manual tasks between Excel and the ERP system.
• Contribute to position reports and provide comments on updates.
• Support logistics-related sales processes, including contracts, vendor management, and ERP system (Navision or similar).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
• Internship experience in agriculture or logistics is preferred.
• Familiarity with Navision/SAP is a plus.
• Background or personal experience in farming or agriculture is strongly preferred.
