Position Summary: Under the Direction of the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), the Recruitment Specialist supports Human Resources by leading Talent Acquisition initiatives for HELP divisions and departments.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manages the entire Talent Acquisition process from initial recruitment contact to onboarding of a new hire.
- Responsible for management of job postings, as well as, candidate and new hire information in the applicant tracking system (Recruitment and Onboarding modules) of the Human Capital Management (HCM)/Payroll system.
- Manages advertising initiatives with established third-party vendors and reviews and recommends other sources based on need.
- Evaluates candidates for core values and culture fit as well as for skill level, experience and knowledge.
- Responsible for conducting interviews with potential candidates to evaluate their work ethic, abilities and skills to determine a best option for placement, if applicable.
- Responsible for screening of each applicant/candidate through verification of references, and administration of job-related assessments and tests, if applicable.
- Puts measures in place that ensure each candidate has the required experience in the position for which they are being considered.
- Ensures all documentation required for regulatory licensure reviews are collected an in place prior to hire.
- Facilitates background screenings, FBI and RAPBACK checks are complete in accordance with DODD standards.
- Monitors daily placement tracking and provides counsel to candidates during the recruitment process.
- Partners with the HR Coordinator to ensure accuracy of vacancies, the need for driving and medication administration, and hires recorded in the Agency Master Schedule.
- Partners with the Marketing/Communications division to maintain a social media presence and communications resource plan that identifies and promotes open roles and fosters candidate engagement and interaction.
- Responsible for representing the Agency at job fairs and other public outings where advancing our brand and recruitment initiatives are a priority.
- Responsible for seeking out opportunities to increase Agency and industry knowledge that will aid in advancement of recruitment strategies.
- Creates new and innovative ways of attracting talent to the business.
- Designs and grows the interview process for the purpose of enhancing training of leaders within the Agency.
- Adapts quickly, formulates new strategies and tactics for filling vacant roles and brainstorms with senior HR leadership and hiring management to create sourcing strategies for vacancies.
- Partners with hiring managers and the CHRO to ensure information related to offer rates are communicated and entered appropriately and in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any other related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years recruiting experience or experience in the DD field, with the ability to network and enable high quality recruiting partnerships.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, be welcome to change and comfortable in a collaborative and group setting.
- Must have working knowledge of technological and social platforms and tools used in the recruitment model.
- Must be able to analyze and report on recruiting strategies, tactics and procedures.
- Must have exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal form in order to effectively communicate with internal customers and potential candidates.
- Must be knowledgeable in employment laws with direct and indirect impact in the recruitment field.
- Must be highly organized and process oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office products and virtual communication modalities (i.e., Office365 Teams meetings).
