Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead HELP, Inc Food Resource Center Food and its mission to end hunger and its effects in our community. This critical role requires a dedicated leader with leadership experience, who understands the needs of the community in which we serve. Experience in the non-profit sector preferred. This position will oversee daily operations, foster strategic partnerships, seek out grant opportunities and continue to drive program efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of Food Resource Center (FRC) operations, including inventory acquisition, storage, and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with TEFAP regulations and all other federal, state, and local requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance food distribution capacity and program efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, donors, and community organizations.
- Act as a liaison with government entities, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to address food insecurity.
- Represent the organization at community
- Develop and manage the food bank’s budget, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Oversee grant applications, donor contributions, and funding opportunities to support daily operations.
- Ensure HELP, Inc FRC adheres to food safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on food bank operations, distribution metrics, and compliance requirements.
Experience
Education: A degree in business, human services, social services, or related field preferred. Willing to look at professional qualifications and an associate degree in above mentioned fields as a substitute for bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles, business management, and those with Non-Profit management, encouraged to apply
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Experience with social media marketing, develop and maintain website, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Knowledge of operation policies, OHSA safety procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft office- Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience in Public speaking engagements
- Knowledge of inventory management practices
- Experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of poverty related issues.
- Familiarity with grant writing and donor relationship management. * * Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. * Hybrid office/warehouse setting with some travel required
