Department : Framing Hope Warehouse
Hours : Monday - Thursday
Reports to : Operations Supervisor
About the Department :
The warehouse plays a key role in planning, organizing, and managing its overall operations. It is also primarily responsible for organizing all physical donations received year-round, including those collected during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday events.
Purpose :
The Warehouse Lead reporting to the Operations Supervisor oversees stock control, the receipt, storage, display of merchandise, and ensures the timely pickup of goods from donors. This position is responsible for keeping updated records of the Warehouse operations by entering data into computer applications.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitor and enhance layout and space management dictated by incoming donations
- Manage stock control : the receipt, storage, display and timely pickup of donated items from distribution partners.
- Manage notification, inventory tracking and costing, pickup scheduling and creating reports both financial and partner agency notifications of items for acquisition
- Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
- Implement cost reduction principle in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
- Primary sales and cash register / credit card accepting. Transmitting all cash and receipts to applicable parties
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse operation with safety and efficiency as priorities
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Maintain and suggest improvements related to physical condition of warehouse by planning and communicating new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Adhere to safety protocols and Wearhouse procedures
- Assist facilities with tasks on property as needed
- All other job duties as assigned by management for needs of the organization
