Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and training to caregivers in their respective branchh and care to individuals in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private residences. This role involves supporting all caregivers with their clients with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all caregivers within their assigned Branch.
- Train all new caregivers on their assigned cllients.
- Stay on top of the shcedule and make adjsutments as necessary to hit fullfillment percentages.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Take vital signs and report any significant changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
- Familiarity with scheduleing and dealing with call-offs, holiday schedules, etc.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
