About the Role:

The SUD Counselor plays a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders by providing comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services. This position is focused on helping clients develop coping strategies, set achievable goals, and navigate the recovery process effectively. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs and create personalized treatment plans that promote long-term recovery. Additionally, the SUD Counselor will engage with families and support systems to foster a holistic approach to treatment. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to empower clients to achieve and maintain sobriety while improving their overall quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor or equivalent licensure.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience in a clinical setting providing substance use disorder treatment.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in addiction counseling.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address substance use issues and promote recovery.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and progress.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective support.
  • Provide education and resources to clients and their families about substance use disorders and recovery options.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
