Helping Hand Behavioral Health is seeking a Full Time Office Assistant to perform duties supporting our efforts to serve our clients. We are a leader in behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation services for adults with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Our goal is to promote wellness and recovery, and an enhanced quality of life for our clients. This position requires an experienced Office Assistant to maintain medical records, support our Office Manager, and provide office duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for office organization, including phone and front door.
- Correspondence administration including distribution, copying, faxing and mailing.
- Creation of new documents and typing.
- Consumer chart management including filing and scanning documents as needed
- Set up transportation of consumers/staff to medical appointments
- Update database for consumer charts, including consumer schedule changes and consumer medication updates
- Responsible for setting up place settings and assisting with lunch service for consumers
- Facilitate pick-up/delivery food items
- Assist with set-up/cleanup of food service area
- Serving as back-up to Office Manager
- Occasional driving duties transporting clients to medical appointments and to their homes.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the specific Program Office Manager and/or specific Program Director
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent;
- Must be organized self-starter;
- Must possess knowledge of office clerical duties;
- Must be experienced in scanning documentation and maintaining files;
- Experienced in operating office equipment including scanner, facsimile machine, photocopier;
- Solid knowledge of word processing and other computer programs including Google, Outlook and Excel;
- Must possess sound organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Must exercise mature judgment and have ability to handle confidential matters discretely;
