What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - Part Time position at Helping Hands Hawaii?
**This is a Part Time (19hpw) position**
To provide quality customer service to all persons inquiring about program and service. To perform a variety of administrative tasks and projects, related to the Human Services programs, to include the review of donation pick up requests and applications for emergency financial and material assistance, scheduling donation pickups and client appointments, and data entering. Assist in coordinating events between departments and programs of Helping Hands Hawaii, as well as with social service partner providers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming phone lines and routes to appropriate departments and/or contact person.
- Responds to donation, client and community partner inquiries and provides information regarding services.
- Schedules donation, client, and partner provider appointments.
- Completes administrative tasks, which include but are not limited to forms processing, data entry, photocopying, word processing and filing.
- Conducts surveys with donors, clients, and partners.
- Research and maintain a list of community resources.
- Maintain community partnerships to maintain inventory of material goods.
- Assist with processing and maintaining applications for material and financial assistance received from partner providers, including the completion of applications.
- Assists the Program Manager/Program Coordinator in planning and coordinating activities for the Human Services programs.
- Assist with training of office interns and volunteers to help with the mission.
- Assist with outreach efforts to actively solicit potential applicants and partners for the Human Services programs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of progressive job-related experience where knowledge and abilities have been demonstrated, preferably in the Human Services environment.
- Extensive working knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point and other database operational software.
- Ability to work directly and collaboratively with diverse persons and programs found in a multi-faceted agency and community.
- Ability to organize, direct, review and evaluate activities and volunteers.
- Effective Communication skills (listening, speaking and writing)with proven ability to take and relay detailed and accurate information.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Driver's license, clear driver's abstract, and willingness to use a properly insured vehicle.
- Current TB Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of progressive job-related experience where knowledge and abilities have been demonstrated, preferably in the Human Services environment.
