Responsibilities
As a Clinical Support Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within our clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the daily nursing schedule and monthly nurses’ call schedule to ensure optimal coverage.
- Handling physician calls daily and maintaining professional communication with healthcare providers.
- Sending order requests to physicians and uploading completed orders to clinical documents.
- Updating care plans and entering new orders promptly as they come through.
- Uploading lab results to clinical documents for accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinating supply ordering to ensure that medical and clinical teams have the necessary resources.
- Assisting in the field for home health and hospice visits when needed.
- Supporting the therapy team with physician calls, orders, scheduling, and supply needs.
- Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals to maintain seamless patient care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Active nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania (PA).
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, physician communication, and supply coordination.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with physicians, therapists, and patients.
- Prior experience in home health preferred.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care and administrative tasks.
