Responsibilities :

  • Organizing and maintaining the rehabilitation facility in a clean, orderly, and comfortable environment.
  • Keeping records of housekeeping stocks and ordering supplies.
  • Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments
  • Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered
  • Conducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate environmental service activities
  • Maintains the departments in an “inspection ready” state at all times, assuring the departments operates within federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assign staff to established work areas & duties.
  • Plan and coordinate project work.
  • Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings, development, and training courses.
  • Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees.
  • Assign equipment to staff; monitor daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
  • Assist housekeepers as needed
  • Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and all community departments
  • Ensures that competency in the position is maintained by participating in Orientation, In-Service, and staff development training programs, as required
  • Follows all facility policies and procedures
  • Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire departmental teams
  • Implements change to the environmental service program that enhance the desirability of the community for current and future residents
  • Conducts daily QA rounds / inspections to ensure current quality controls and methodologies are suitable and sustainable.
  • Reports monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishments
  • Promotes and monitors resident satisfaction
  • Position may require additional duties / responsibilities to be performed outside the scope outlined within this job description as needed by the Administrator

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent-required  with 4 years of higher learning or 5 years of comparable experience.
  • One (1) year supervisory and management experience which may include recruiting staff, coaching, performance management, responsibility of daily department operations
  • Must be able to function as part of the Housekeeping staff in developing and organizing policy and procedures, facility projects and  problems .
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills.  Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
  • Compensation :

  • Rate will be commensurate with experience.
