Responsibilities :
- Organizing and maintaining the rehabilitation facility in a clean, orderly, and comfortable environment.
- Keeping records of housekeeping stocks and ordering supplies.
- Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments
- Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered
- Conducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate environmental service activities
- Maintains the departments in an “inspection ready” state at all times, assuring the departments operates within federal, state, and local regulations
- Assign staff to established work areas & duties.
- Plan and coordinate project work.
- Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings, development, and training courses.
- Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees.
- Assign equipment to staff; monitor daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
- Assist housekeepers as needed
- Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and all community departments
- Ensures that competency in the position is maintained by participating in Orientation, In-Service, and staff development training programs, as required
- Follows all facility policies and procedures
- Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire departmental teams
- Implements change to the environmental service program that enhance the desirability of the community for current and future residents
- Conducts daily QA rounds / inspections to ensure current quality controls and methodologies are suitable and sustainable.
- Reports monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishments
- Promotes and monitors resident satisfaction
- Position may require additional duties / responsibilities to be performed outside the scope outlined within this job description as needed by the Administrator
