Position Summary:
The Data Specialist will be responsible for managing and analyzing data to support strategic program planning and decision-making at HYC. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, this position ensures that information from multiple data sources, including Exym, HMIS, and CHAMPS, is accurately captured, analyzed, and effectively communicated to program administrators, leadership, and stakeholders. The Data Specialist will play a key role in developing dashboards, visualizing data trends, training staff, and optimizing data processes to improve service delivery and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to track key performance indicators, client outcomes, and program performance.
- Interface with HYC’s IT provider to ensure smooth data integration and system functionality.
- Design and maintain data tools and reporting mechanisms to support program administration, planning, and implementation.
- Train staff on data collection, processing, and analysis to enhance overall data literacy and utilization.
- Ensure data integrity and quality control across platforms, including Exym, HMIS, and CHAMPS.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and areas for program improvement.
- Prepare stakeholder reports, ensuring data is presented in a clear, actionable format that can be easily understood by various audiences.
- Collaborate with program leadership and administrators to develop data-driven insights that enhance service delivery and inform strategic planning.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Public Health, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of (3) years of progressive experience with data management and Microsoft Power BI in lieu of degree is welcomed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, with experience in data visualization, dashboard creation, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of data processing, analysis, and reporting methodologies.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in training staff on data-related tools and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to relay data findings effectively.
- Experience working with Exym, HMIS, CHAMPS, or other healthcare/human services data management systems is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare, social services, or non-profit organizations is a plus.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
