Pay Rate : $21.00
SUMMARY : Welcome visitors by greeting them, either in person or over the telephone; answers or refers inquiries. Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
This is potential temp-hire position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
- Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or over the telephone; answers or refers inquiries.
- Route messages to appropriate people in a timely manner.
- Respond to all calls and clients in a professional manner.
- Keeps current on changes with employees, departments and extension numbers.
- Professionally greets and announces all visitors and applicants.
- Page and make announcements as necessary.
- Report telephone or paging problems as necessary.
- Maintain the welcome display system (Name and Business).
- Perform miscellaneous projects for the department.
- Maintain personal and confidential information at all times.
- It is an essential function of this job that you arrive at your designated office location on-time, and ready to work your scheduled hours.
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS :
One (1) year of receptionist experience is preferred.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
Must be able to interface with all levels of employees.
Must be a team player willing to assist whenever and wherever needed.
SOFTWARE : Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required.
