Description
We are looking for a Backup Care Sitter in Seattle, WA (98115).
A loving family in the Green Lake area is looking for a reliable and experienced backup care sitter to provide in-home care for their 9-month-old daughter. Care will be needed on an as-needed basis with short notice (ideally 12-24 hours in advance). This is a long-term opportunity to support a working mom who is home-based.
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Long term
- Rate: $30/hour
- Schedule: Flexible, as needed basis
- Weekdays during regular business hours (8am-4pm)
- Occasional/as-needed
- The family can provide a 12-24 hour notice.
Responsibilities
- Engage in playtime and age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with diaper changes and manage nap schedules.
- Go on walks and provide stimulating outdoor activities.
- Bottle feed on occasion and feed some solids (mother breastfeeds).
- Provide comfort and care when the baby has minor illnesses (e.g., common cold, low-grade fever due to teething).
- Communicate with the family regarding care routines and any concerns.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience working/caring for infants
- CPR certification or willing to become certified
- Able to provide 2 references from paid, infant care-related experiences.
- Able to pass a background check and social media screening.
- Comfortable around the family’s friendly, 50-pound Shepadoodle dog (no pet care required).
- Non-smoker preferred.
Compensation Benefits
This position pays $30 per hour and care will be an as needed basis, long term.
