We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Round Rock, TX 78681
A lovely family in Round Rock seeks an occasional babysitter for their 8 year old child with an immediate start. Backup care is needed for school closures, or when the child is home from school due to being sick, and can fall on any weekday between the hours of 9am-5pm. There may be occasions when mom needs to work late and the sitter will need to stay until 10pm.
The child is bilingual in Chinese and English, and is social, energetic, and enjoys activities such as building with Legos, playing Pokemon, and chess. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed weekly hours for this position. Mom works from home and will provide a 2-week notice for school closures and a 12-24 hour notice for sick care needs. The family is looking for someone with a flexible schedule, who is engaging and enjoys spending time with children.
- Start date: Immediate
- Length of Position: Long-term
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (not a set schedule)
- No guaranteed hours
- May be days when care is needed until 10pm if mom needs to work late
- Compensation: $22 per hour
Upcoming days/times care is needed:
- Friday, February 14th, 9am-5pm
- Monday, February 17th, 9am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Engaging with the child
- Homework help; reading writing activities with child
- Light meal prep/cooking for the child
Requirements:
- 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience (with school aged children)
- CPR certified, or willing to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to successfully pass a criminal background social media screening
- Must reside within a 30 minute commute from Round Rock
- Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of paid and professional childcare experience, whichever is greater
Compensation:
This position pays $22 per hour, and the family is looking for occasional care, on an as-needed basis.
