We are currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in South Setauket, NY (11720)
A wonderful family near the Stony Brook Campus is seeking an occasional babysitter for their adorable 5 month old child. Care will be on an as-needed when the family nanny is not available and could fall on any day between Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with some weekend or evening care needed with advance notice. The ideal candidate is a sitter experienced with infants that will be playful, patient, and creative.

- Schedule:
Occasional | As-Needed (*_no guaranteed hours_*)
Weekdays:
9:00am - 5:00pm
Potentially a need for evening care
Occasional weekend availability
Family is typically able to provide a few day’s notice of care (some last minute needs may arise)
- Start date: ASAP
- End Date: Long Term
Rate: $20-25/hr
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for one infant, including feeding, diaper changes, and engaging in age-appropriate activities geared toward development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all child at all times
- Perform light child-related housekeeping duties, such as washing bottles, handling baby laundry, and tidying up toys and play areas
Requirements
- 2 years of paid, professional child care experience with a focus on infant experience
- Valid Driver’s license for ID verification purposes
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Comfortable with family’s dogs in the home
Compensation: This position pays $20 - 25 per hour, and the family is looking for occasional care.
