What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level One Interventionist position at Heluna Health?
The A3: Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime program is a public/private partnership with Contra Costa Health Services, Behavioral Health Services, and Heluna Health. The A3 program works collaboratively in small teams to engage and support persons experiencing crises related to social determinants of health needs. The Level One Interventionist is responsible for community-based responses in Contra Costa County, including building rapport with individuals and families. The Interventionist works collaboratively to engage and provide services to individuals and families.
Shifts will vary between Monday through Sunday, with shifts in the day, evenings, weekends.
If hired for this position, applicant will be required to provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 prior to the start date.
Hourly rate range: $24 - $27, hourly
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to dispatches from A3 to locations throughout Contra Costa County.
- Work collaboratively with the contracting authority to ensure clients are connected to services and provide appropriate county resources.
- Be able to communicate effectively with team members, including team goals and identifying areas for new training (safety/paperwork/approach/de-escalation etc.).
- Build rapport and assess the needs of encountered individuals and their families.
- Review and understand program data pertaining to documenting services in ccLink.
- Be able to work in the community and meet residents where they are.
- Maintain and interact in a culturally sensitive, respectful, and professional demeanor.
- Comply with all policies and procedures guiding the work of this position and the department.
- Drive to the location of the client to perform crisis intervention with the County vehicles.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of the client population and county resources
- Ability to work well with diverse staff, stigmatized communities, and clientele, including cultural, language, sexual identity, gender, and other diversity considerations within all neighborhoods in Contra Costa.
- Ability to work successfully both independently and cooperatively.
- Professional competency using the Internet, email, and Microsoft Word computer applications.
- Ability to use computers/internet to look up information and enter relevant notes.
- Attend Contra Costa County’s CPR and first-aid training.
- Ability to successfully and efficiently complete tasks in an environment where background noise is present and interruptions may be constant.
- Ability to work fluctuating hours, including day, swing, or graveyard shifts.
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license and drivers must have a clean record with no infraction/accidents and be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to use a computer, phone, or office equipment for extended periods.
Education/Experience
- AA/AS degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; OR Substitution: High School degree or equivalent plus a minimum 2-year direct experience working professionally with persons experiencing behavioral health issues.
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
License Required:
A valid California driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be needed to carry out job-related essential functions as traveling between sites is a requirement.
Drivers must have a clean record with no infraction/accidents and be 21years of age or older.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual, bicultural in Spanish. Preferred
- Lived experience with accessing behavioral health services.
- Knowledge of Contra Costa County and community resources.
- Knowledge of the Contra Costa emergency provider network.
- Prior experience with documentation and billing procedures.
