OVMC is a community hospital where the primary focus is to contribute to the health of the communities it serves by providing high quality, patient-centered care.DESCRIPTIONUnder general direction of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Nurse Manager manages the Safety Intelligence Program for the assigned Facility by administering technical supervision to nursing staff in the provision of nursing care and other medical services. The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, selecting, and devising the methods and procedures to be used and for directing nursing supervisors and / or other personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals in addition to Compliance, Accreditation, Privacy and Licensing oversight. The Nurse Manager also assists in the planning, development, and implementation of operational policies and procedures for nursing services. Such positions give direction through first line supervisory personnel and usually collaborate with clinical nursing directors. Nurse Managers collaborate in intra- and inter-departmental planning, problem solving, and decision making within the scope of their responsibility.
