SUMMARY
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Plan Partnership and Payer Strategies team is currently hiring for a Staff Assistant I within its Payer Contracting Unit. This role combines stakeholder management, project coordination and tracking, and the creation of essential materials to effectively communicate project updates and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Act as a liaison between various internal and external teams to coordinate project tasks and dissemination of information between DHS stakeholders, state regulators, as well as contracted Health Plan partners as applicable.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities across multiple teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
- Track and monitor project deliverables and timelines using tracking logs and project management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any project issues or delays, ensuring smooth execution.
- Respond to and manage the needs of stakeholders in rapidly changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain and update contracts document repository and database.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communications skills, adept at collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deliverables, in addition to meeting deadlines consistently.
- Data and Project Coordination: Skilled in organizing, maintaining, and disseminating data/information.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn new and diverse material and adapt quickly based on business needs.
Education/Experience
- Experience in project coordination, which includes planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring activities and deliverables using tracking log templates
- Experience developing a variety of materials, including but not limited to data charts/reports, concise PowerPoint slides/stakeholder presentations, and staff training materials/guides
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
- Successful clearing through the Live Scan and health clearance processes with the County of Los Angeles.
