Level I Clinical Laboratory Coordinator: An entry-level position with at least 1 year of academic or professional laboratory experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Comprehensive management of client phone calls, including skillful handling of complex medical inquiries, requiring thorough assessment skills and knowledge of appropriate laboratory specimen testing requirements
- Coordinating receiving process in partnership with administrative support team (i.e., FedEx, UPS, local couriers)
- Receiving and accessioning of patient specimens, including making initial tubes for flow technology specimen analysis, making of split tubes
- Triaging of testing in highly complex situations necessitating client communication
- Review test requisitions for pertinent details regarding test orders prior to accessioning
- Writing of flow-based sort reports
- Processing of paraffin block/slide returns
- Performing laboratory support duties including filing, specimen label making, unpacking supplies, collating/labeling slides or files for staff hematopathologists, pelleting, scanning set up forms etc. with direction of the team lead and/or director
- Support billing process, including sharing and knowledge of CPT code with clients when necessary
- Maintaining laboratory inventory and checking in laboratory supplies
- Scan documents and paperwork for report finalization as required
- Perform various aspects of the wet lab processes as permitted and as directed by assigned lead and/or director
- Prepare and label reagents, perform the appropriate quality control and document daily performance criteria of reagents and equipment
- Full knowledge of and adherence to the laboratory’s quality assurance policies, including documentation of quality assurance activities
- Quality management activities and responsibilities, under direction of the designated lead
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Aliquoting of specimens for sections as appropriate, under the direction of lead/director to be adjusted to appropriate skill level and experience
- Managing study archive overview and associated laboratory and data entry responsibilities
- Shift is Tuesday to Saturday; Tentative shift hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (subject to change, defined by assigned duties)
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science is preferred but not required. An Associate of Science degree and/or equivalent professional experience will be strongly considered

Salary : $33 - $42
