Certified Substance Abuse Counselor- CADC I or II or Equivalent

Hemet Valley Recovery Center & Sage Retreat is seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor

We provide the full continuum of care, including Acute Medical Detox, on-site Residential Services, Outpatient Services, as well as four affiliated Recovery Residences. As a 12-step based, holistically focused treatment center, we offer specialty programs for Older Adults, Young Adults, First Responders, and patients suffering from Chronic Pain. On-site training is provided for all levels of care.

Qualifications:

· Possession of AOD certification, CADC I or II (or equivalent) preferred

· Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in substance abuse

· Minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety (if in recovery)

· AHA BLS certification

Job Description:

· Conducts psychosocial assessments and develops a treatment plan to meet the needs of the patient

· Facilitates therapeutic/educational groups

· Provides individual counseling to support patients during the detox process

· Evaluates and modifies treatment plans based on the patient’s individualized needs and progress

· Ability to respond therapeutically in crisis situations

· Evaluates patient’s goals to assist in developing a comprehensive after care plan

· Provides thorough documentation of patient care and all therapeutic interventions

· Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure quality of care

· Maintains, develops, and enhances referent relationships.

· Collaborates with family members and referents to provide the best client care
