Landscape Team Member

For over 40 years Hemlock Landscapes has been providing residential landscape maintenance services to the Chagrin Valley and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking candidates for our maintenance division. We are looking for both crew leaders as well as team members. This position will be responsible for executing various services such as spring cleanups, mulching, gardening, and mowing, all while promoting a safe work site.

Work Schedule:

• You’ll work Monday to Friday (some Saturdays), up to 10-hour shifts (with overtime in the peak season), starting between 7:30 and 8:00 AM depending on the season. Your workday is finished when the route is complete, which is around 8-10 hours each day, but this can vary.

• You'll meet at the shop daily and then take a company vehicle and trailer to the job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly lawn care- mowing and trimming

• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and grass

• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers

• Pruning trees and shrubs

• Clean lawn debris with rakes, shovels, and blowers

• Install mulch and other materials as required

• Keep trucks and equipment clean and in working order

• Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Interact with homeowners, property guests, clients, and the public in a friendly and polite manner

Requirements:

• Able to operate standard landscaping machinery such as riding mowers, trimmers, and blowers

• Availability to work variable hours which may include Saturdays, and overtime

• Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• 18 years of age or older

• Reliable transportation to the branch or first job site

• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds & walk long distances

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, we are a drug free workplace

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
