Summary : Hemlock Public School District is (re)launching a brand new, state-of-the-art e-sports Program with onsite facilities. The E-Sports coach will be responsible for developing a successful program. The coach will supervise and instruct the E-Sports Team, maintain a regular practice schedule, and provide leadership for participating students. The E-Sports team is expected to perform at a competitive level.
Required Qualifications :
- Successful leadership or coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
- Alternate qualifications may be considered.
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills :
Post-Secondary degree in a relevant field.
Background that includes experience in competitive video gaming.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
A successful candidate will be able to :
Relate to and instruct student-athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play.
Continuously ensure personal behavior and program reputation are in alignment with Hemlock Public School District values and brand.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
Pursue scholarship opportunities within the esports business world.
Salary : $2,750 annually (paid twice a year, $1375 from July to December, January to June).
