Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Successful experience working with middle school-age students.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of content expectations/standards pertinent to the grade level.
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
- Can demonstrate proficiency in working with students with a variety of disabilities.
- Able to work with students with physical and/or behavioral components of their disability.
- Ability to work with middle school aged students in a physical education setting.
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
- Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas.
- Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
- Contribute to a professional learning team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
Salary: As per negotiated district contract.
