Required Qualifications:
● Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary education certification
● Meet the definition of Highly Qualified Teacher per federal regulations
● Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
● Successful experience working with elementary-age students
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Knowledge of content expectations/standards pertinent to the grade level
● Knowledge of best practices in classroom instruction and technology integration
● Experience working as part of a collaborative team
A successful candidate will be able to:
● Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings
● Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas
● Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
● Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement
● Contribute to a professional learning team
● Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate
Salary: As per negotiated district contract.
