Duties to include:

Providing hemodialysis and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy to patients with acute kidney disease.

Responsible for direct patient care in the renal replacement suite

Provide appropriate treatment for assigned patients as developed by the interdisciplinary team.

Deliver safe and effective care to adult acute renal patients using critical thinking and collaboration.

Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
Percent of Time: 50%-100% / 20 hours a week up to 40 hours a week
Schedule: Mon- Sat; 10 hour D/E shifts, variable start times of 0730 and 1130. Working 2 out of every 4 Saturdays. On call responsibilities.

Salary: $60,589 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate. Salary will be based on years of experience and percent effort

Education
- An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
- General computer skills are required.
- Minimum of 1 year recent medical/surgical RN experience is required.
- If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable.
- Previous RN Dialysis and IV cannulation experience is desired.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures is desired.
