The Hempfield recCenter is looking for Certified Yoga Instructors for
Chair Yoga to hire immediately.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ability to lead an effective chair yoga class with confidence
- Ability to teach multiple modalities (vinyasa, power yoga, chair yoga)
- Maintain a strong and active social media presence
- Be punctual, professional and exhibit a positive attitude
- Ability to modify movements to meet the needs of all participants
- Demonstrate proper form and technique
- Ensure the class begins and ends of time
- Teaches scheduled classes consistently
- Ability to build relationships with members
- Willingness to work to grow class sizes
- Communicate with Fitness Director on member feedback, equipment and operational needs, scheduling and subbing
- Current Yoga certification required
- 1 year of Group Fitness Instructor experience (preferred)
- Must have Monday daytime availability
- Good communication skills; verbal, written and technical
- Reliable transportation
- Strong and collaborative work ethic
- Must posses and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date
- Pennsylvania state background clearance and child abuse clearance required
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform athletic duties
