What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Manager position at HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP?
The Facility Manager (Hempfield Township Athletic Complex) manages the Hempfield Township Athletic Complex (HTAC). This includes overseeing all aspects of the facility's operations, such as rental schedules, programs, and service delivery of the building; supervising facility staff; developing and overseeing safety, security, and technology systems; coordinating custodial support; and overseeing and managing the facility's budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facility Manager (HTAC) position duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Manages facility operations, including staff and facility scheduling, custodial support, membership registration systems, front desk operations, and safety processes.
2. Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates part-time staff.
3. Develops and operational audit system to ensure the facility operates according to established specifications, including such areas as building cleanliness, safety, cash control, registration processes, and opening and closing procedures.
4. Completes, reviews, and submits incident, injury, accident, or other related reports.
5. Works toward ensuring the safety and security of participants and staff.
6. Develops operational manuals about HTAC daily operations, review accident/incident reports, determines the severity, and follows up with parents, participants, and staff.
7. Works with the Deputy Director of Operations to ensure building repairs, renovations, and ongoing preventative maintenance are performed.
8. Prepares an annual budget, including pricing recommendations and monitors revenue and expenses.
9. Maintains concessions and vending contracts.
10. Develops an emergency response plan aligned with department township protocol.
11. Maintains accurate and current facility usage membership participation information and analyzes the data for planning and evaluation.
12. Develops key performance indicators that monitor building operations' efficiency and effectiveness.
13. Performs research on facility operation trends and adapts programs, services, and operations accordingly.
14. Works with the Deputy Director of Community Engagement in developing an overall strategy for marketing the facility.
15. Provides excellent customer service in the delivery of programs and works toward achieving outstanding customer service from support staff.
16. Manages a customer satisfaction measurement process for services.
17. Works cooperatively with other divisions.
18. Facilitates ongoing coordination and cooperation with partner agencies and organizations.
19. Participate in committee work for the department and/or Township as deemed appropriate by the Deputy Director of Operations and/or Director of Parks and Recreation.
20. Provide other services and perform other tasks as requested or assigned by the Deputy Director of Operations and/or the Director of Parks and Recreation.
