About the Job
We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator Assistant to join our team at Hemphill Construction Company. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Assist operators with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, and loading/unloading materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day.
- Load and unload trucks and haul/hoist materials.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Valid state driver's license (general operator license).
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the foreman's direction.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk/stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
