Summary:
Join our team as a Dietary Cook at Mesa View Assisted Living Campus located in Canadian, TX! This full-time position features a rotating schedule with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, providing ample opportunity to showcase your culinary skills. As a Dietary Cook, you'll be responsible for creating delicious meals for residents, employees, and guests while adhering to menu guidelines and dietary needs.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meat, fish, poultry, and other food items to ensure safety and quality.
- Follow menu guidelines, dietary requirements, and portion sizes accurately.
- Bake bread, rolls, and pastries as needed.
- Serve food to patients, guests, and employees.
- Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, and kitchen areas.
- Maintain records of food usage and inventory.
- Receive and store food deliveries promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in meal planning and menu development.
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- ServSafe Certification required upon hire.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary; training provided.
- Willingness to learn and follow recipes and dietary guidelines.
Additional Duties:
- Follow instructions from Dietary Supervisor for food preparation and cooking.
- Review menus to determine necessary food quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping.
- Notify supervisor of equipment maintenance needs.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and facility information.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires physical fitness, good vision and hearing, and mental well-being. The Dietary Aide/Cook must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and perform cleaning activities as needed.
