Respected local business has partnered with a Private Equity firm and is on the cusp of an acquisition spree, targeting other small businesses in their industry as they look to make a significant impact on an industry ripe for an innovative company to earn market share. This company has built repeatable processes and systems that will allow companies in their industry to drive revenue and profitability while keeping costs controlled. This is an exciting opportunity either for an experienced CFO to step into a fun growth opportunity or for someone ready to jump up to a CFO role to make the leap into their first CFO position.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership for all finance, accounting, reporting and budgeting activities at the local level and lead a small, experienced accounting team while communicating weekly with PE partners.
- Integrate newly acquired companies as you work with their local Controller, Accountant, Bookkeeper or Office Manager.
- Pull all data into your accounting software and switch acquired companies from cash to accrual accounting.
- Coach leaders within acquired companies to help them implement more sophisticated processes.
- Take ownership for Bank Reporting / Compliance, Operational and Human Resources Reporting, providing the executive team with a dashboard, showing which acquired companies and divisions are performing most effectively.
- Negotiate with suppliers as you consolidate all newly acquired entities into more attractive procurement contracts.
Qualifications
Our client is searching for someone with a natural “teaching” style, who would enjoy helping the leaders or owners of acquired companies run their business more effectively. This PE firm does not have a cut-throat mentality. We are searching for someone who is excited to grow this business while making a positive impact on an industry that has been void of more sophisticated leaders for many years.
