What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor Coordinator position at HEMPLER FOODS GROUP LLC?
Hempler’s is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Labor Coordinator to join our team! The Labor Coordinator will be responsible for managing labor reconciliation within our facility, ensuring accurate allocation of labor to work centers, and facilitating communication between our company and temporary staffing agencies. This role will require effective collaboration with various departments to maintain accurate payroll data and ensure staffing needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily labor reconciliation following established processes and procedures.
- Reconcile and identify missed punches for all shifts, ensuring timely data for payroll processing.
- Review and transfer payroll punches for all associates and resolve any discrepancies.
- Work with leadership to track labor hours and report on associates working outside of their assigned job code.
- Collaborate with temporary staffing agencies to ensure accurate associate data and billing information.
- Approve contingent labor invoices based on weekly hours reports.
- Analyze data discrepancies and problemsolve to ensure accuracy in labor tracking systems.
- Manage labor allocation to Work Centers and fill in for shift Labor Coordinator as needed.
- Monitor and track overtime for both temporary and fulltime associates.
- Participate in daily meetings, addressing labor and staffing concerns.
- Maintain communication across departments to ensure efficient labor tracking.
- Administer payroll and labor reports, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
- Assist with policy administration and program implementation.
- Foster a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (2 years) in related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to track and manage data effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of payroll systems and labor tracking.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
- Moderate math skills for data reconciliation.
- Knowledge of process management and labor tracking systems.
- Ability to adapt to a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with temporary staffing and payroll processes is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular interaction with various teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance. The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a dynamic environment is essential.
