OVERVIEW
Hendall Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance / Testing Specialist.
The Quality Assurance (QA) / Testing Specialist will plan and oversee software development quality assurance activities including integration testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing and acceptance testing. The scope of quality assurance testing extends to all project artifacts, deliverables, and products to include plans, technical documentation, reports, and data products. This individual will work closely with Business Analyst(s), Systems Analyst(s), Software Developer(s) and Project Manager(s) to define, document and test all business and technical requirements necessary to satisfy product owner's needs. They will also work with the software development team and project management to help manage scope of sprints and releases. The QA/Testing Specialist will help manage project risk to assure all deliverables are delivered with consistently high quality with minimum defects.
DUTIES
Lead software development QA and testing activities
Review and analyze system specifications
Develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Help troubleshoot issues
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Ensure compliance with all federal accessibility standards and guidelines
Identify and manage project risks
Provide documentation in the form of Test Management Plans, Test Cases and Test Reports throughout the complete software development lifecycle
Perform other QA/Testing duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of experience in quality assurance and testing:
Functional
Regression
Integration
Performance
508 Compliance
Automated (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
Stress (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
Mobile Testing
API (REST, SOAP, WSDL) Testing
Understanding of AWS cloud
Understanding of technologies: SQL / POSTGRESQL/Java/ JavaScript /SAS
Demonstrated experience in creating and executing test scripts, and communicating results to management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Flexible, versatile, and works well under pressure
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related IT field
Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000
