OVERVIEW
Hendall is seeking a Training Specialist who will create comprehensive curriculum, instructional materials, and assessment tools to support classroom-based and/or virtual training for hazardous materials professionals. The course objectives are to enhance the competencies of personnel in safely handling hazardous materials in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The course(s) will be designed to accommodate varying levels of experience, ensuring that all participants-from novices to seasoned professionals-gain the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively and safely. The training will also include practical components, such as simulations and hands-on exercises, to ensure real-world applicability.
Please note this is a full-time, on-site position in Oklahoma City, OK.
DUTIES
- Extensive experience in the development and enhancement of technical training
- Expertise in management and oversight of projects of the size and scope of this requirement
- Designs and prepares presentations in specialized subject matter
- Provides internal planning, guidance, and management structure for tracking accomplishment of work assigned
- Demonstrated expertise in oversight of all aspects of a project of similar size and scope
- Provides direction and management for complex projects
- Provides management and technical direction of projects ensuring maximum effectiveness in the use of resources for the timely completion of projects
- Possesses significant training platform development and enhancement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Experience: 7 years of experience in the development of technical training
- Knowledge of instructional design skills (e.g. ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy) to create structured, engaging learning experience
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field
- Technical Proficiency: ability to use course design tools and platforms such as LMS (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard) and multimedia software
- Experience ensuring adherence to the requirements of a performance-based contract, including meeting the acceptable quality levels of a quality assurance surveillance plan, and delivering in accordance with a schedule of deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to establishing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year
