Job Type: Part-Time, Seasonal (July - November)

Position Overview:
Henderson Collegiate is seeking a passionate and dedicated Varsity Head Volleyball Coach to lead our high school volleyball program during the fall season. The coach will be responsible for organizing and overseeing all aspects of the program, including skill development, team management, and fostering a culture of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Player Development: Instruct and demonstrate skill sets, techniques, and game strategies necessary for individual and team success.
- Training & Practice: Develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules to enhance player growth and team performance.
- Equipment & Uniforms: Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain necessary records, complete required paperwork, and submit injury reports to the Athletic Department.
- Player Safety & Eligibility: Ensure that all required forms (e.g., medical clearances) are obtained and current for all players.
- Supervision & Conduct:
- Supervise students in locker rooms during home and away games.
- Ensure appropriate behavior and enforcement of team and school policies.
- Report all game results, ejections, and disqualifications to the Athletic Director.
- Team Management:
- Finalize team roster and submit reports to the Athletic Department.
- Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and games.
- Address problems and concerns with the Athletic Director.
- Game & Travel Responsibilities:
- Report all game results to the Athletic Department and appropriate websites.
- Ensure student-athletes represent the school positively both at home and on the road.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and team management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
- Experience working with adolescents and ability to provide leadership and mentorship.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to take direction.
- Willingness to accept additional job duties and demonstrate flexibility in work schedule.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Preferred but not required: CDL with a school bus endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
