What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Electrical Designer or Engineer - Mission Critical position at Henderson Engineers?

As a data center electrical design engineer on the mission critical team, you will be exclusively focused on designing and re-designing data centers for our clients across the United States. The most qualified candidates for this role will have experience designing data centers as large as 30 megawatts .
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of core and shell layouts, data halls, and redesigns of data centers
- Contributes to strategic decisions involving technical expertise and development needs in response to current and future industry demands.
- BIM Mapping
- Prepares or modifies reports, plans and designs for projects
- Evaluates products for their application
- Provides technical guidance to electrical designers
- Identifies and seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Products. Acts as a resource for training or assisting others as needed
- Research and reviews new products, industry trends and evolving codes and standards
- Understands and applies Henderson's design guidelines, standards, policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering preferred (ie: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without degree required. Professional Engineering (PE) license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Experience with mission critical design
- Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards required. Knowledge applicable to a range of practices, project or program types preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of mission critical standard equipment elements
- Experience designing data centers from start to finish
- Experience with medium voltage designs
